How Underlord and Shadow Demon perform as teammates in Dota 2 7.41f, from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Underlord and Shadow Demon win 44.67% of ranked matches when playing on the same team, over 7,145 matches.
Saving Underlord with Disruption often works against your own plan. Taking him out of the fight, even briefly, removes Atrophy Aura at the exact moment the enemy is committing, letting them deal full damage to your allies. The heroes' offensive abilities also clash. Illusions created by a Shadow Demon Disruption are significantly weakened if they have to fight near Underlord and his damage reduction. Pit of Malice and Firestorm are powerful area denial tools, but Shadow Demon's single-target focus with Soul Catcher doesn't help set them up effectively. The two heroes simply operate on different wavelengths, actively undermining each other’s kits.
