Underlord + Spirit Breaker

Why this works

Setting up a gank becomes quite straightforward with this pair. Spirit Breaker's Charge of Darkness gives Underlord a clear signal on where to position and who to target. As soon as the initial stun from the Charge connects, Underlord can reliably follow up with Pit of Malice to keep the enemy in place. This lockdown almost always guarantees that a full Firestorm will land, creating a powerful combination of control and magic damage that can be difficult to survive early on.

This threat forces the enemy team to play with more respect from the laning stage onwards, as any hero caught alone is a potential victim. Later in the game, Underlord’s Atrophy Aura also makes Spirit Breaker’s initiations more forgiving by reducing incoming physical damage. The duo's effectiveness can be limited if the enemy team groups up, as they can often burst the charging Spirit Breaker before Underlord arrives or sets up his spells. This need to find isolated targets is what keeps the pairing helpful but not overwhelming.
