Underlord + Undying

Why this works

Fighting into this pair feels like trying to wade through mud. Undying can drop his Tombstone to create a huge zone of slows and damage, and opponents are forced to deal with it. This creates a perfect setup for Underlord's Pit of Malice, which can root anyone trying to kill the Tombstone or run from the zombies. While they are held in place, a Firestorm on top adds a lot of sustained damage. Meanwhile, Undying is constantly using Decay, making everyone tankier and the enemy team softer, which amplifies all the chip damage they are putting out.

This duo excels at forcing long, messy teamfights where they can slowly grind opponents down. The goal for the Underlord and Undying is to secure an area, plant their spells, and dare the other team to engage. However, their damage is slow and spread out, not immediate burst. A coordinated team can focus the Tombstone down quickly, and because Pit of Malice is a root, enemies can still cast spells or use items to escape. It often comes down to whether the enemy has enough mobility and burst to avoid getting stuck in the chaos.
