Underlord + Ursa

Why this works

Getting caught by this pair can feel more awkward than deadly. Underlord is a hero who wants to control a wide area over time, using Firestorm and Pit of Malice to wear down the entire enemy team. Ursa, on the other hand, wants to find a single target and delete them in seconds. While Pit of Malice can certainly hold someone in place for Ursa to hit, it isn't the instant, reliable stun that best enables his burst damage. This creates a slight clash in how they want a fight to unfold.

Throughout the game, this small timing difference can lead to missed opportunities. Ursa might jump a target on the edge of the fight, far from where Underlord has established his control zone, effectively fighting his own battle. Even Fiend's Gate can be a clunky tool for a hero like Ursa, who often prefers the direct initiation of a Blink Dagger over a coordinated, strategic reposition. They don't necessarily get in each other's way, but their kits don't amplify each other as well as some other duos, leading to a less cohesive frontline.
