Alchemist + Batrider

Why this works

Setting up a kill with this pair feels straightforward. Batrider's Flaming Lasso provides a long, reliable lockdown, making it incredibly easy for Alchemist to land a fully charged Unstable Concoction. Add in the armor reduction from Acid Spray, and the designated target melts very quickly. The issue is that this single-target burst is the entirety of their shared plan. Once that initial combo is used, they offer little else in terms of crowd control or teamfight presence, leaving them exposed if the rest of the enemy team is there to counter-initiate.

The main friction comes from their preferred pace. Batrider wants to hit an early item timing and immediately start forcing fights and creating pressure around the map. This is often at odds with Alchemist, who needs to use Greevil's Greed to farm large sections of the map and accelerate his own item progression. While Batrider is trying to make space, Alchemist is often not the hero who uses that space to fight. He uses it to farm even faster, which can lead to a disjointed game plan where one hero is fighting while the other is still preparing.
