Alchemist + Bloodseeker

Why this works

Casting Bloodseeker's Bloodrage on a farming Alchemist is the main idea here. The damage amplification from the spell helps Alchemist clear creeps and jungle camps faster, which directly increases his gold from Greevil's Greed. This can slightly speed up his item timings. However, Bloodrage also makes Alchemist take more damage in return. If he gets caught out while farming with the buff on, he's much easier to kill, which can completely negate any gold advantage he was building. The risk of feeding a shutdown kill often balances out the potential for accelerated farm.

In practice, this lane pairing doesn't offer much else. Both Alchemist and Bloodseeker are typically cores who need a lot of farm and space to come online. They can end up competing for safe farming areas, slowing each other down. While Bloodrage can be a useful damage steroid for Alchemist in a late-game teamfight, the heroes don't provide much for each other in terms of lockdown or survivability during the critical early and mid-game phases. The success of the duo often depends more on whether the enemy team can punish the greedy setup than on the strength of the synergy itself.
