Alchemist + Hoodwink

Why this works

Getting rooted by a well-placed Bushwhack gives Alchemist a perfect, stationary target. He gets all the time he needs to charge up a full Unstable Concoction for maximum effect. With the target stuck in Acid Spray, their armor is shredded, which amplifies all incoming physical damage from both heroes. The issue is that this combo is very conditional. Hoodwink has to land her skillshot near a tree, and Alchemist needs to already be in position to start his channel. When it works, it's a kill, but it’s far from a guaranteed setup.

While Hoodwink can create some pressure early, the two heroes often develop conflicting game plans. Alchemist needs to retreat into the jungle to maximize his Greevil's Greed, leaving his team to play with fewer heroes. A hero like Hoodwink wants to be active, looking for skirmishes and kills around the map. This means their key combo is rarely available when it matters most. They don't cover each other's weaknesses in teamfights either; Hoodwink offers little protection for a focused Alchemist, and Alch can't save a caught Hoodwink. Success often depends on factors outside their specific pairing.
