Alchemist + Necrophos

Why this works

Playing around these two cores often creates a conflict in tempo. Alchemist wants to occupy a safe part of the map, farming stacked camps to accelerate his economy with Greevil's Greed. This naturally slows the game down for his team, as they have to cede map control to protect his space. Necrophos, however, thrives on early and constant teamfights where his Heartstopper Aura and Death Pulse can wear down multiple enemies over time. This puts the team in an awkward position, caught between grouping up to enable Necrophos's pressure or spreading out to secure Alchemist's farm.

The game often becomes a race to see if the team can survive the mid-game. Opponents will frequently pressure the four active heroes, knowing Alchemist is isolated and not ready to fight. If they can't break the high ground, a farmed Alchemist can eventually join fights and provide a crucial Aghanim's Scepter to empower Necrophos. However, getting to that point can be very difficult. The success of this pairing depends heavily on whether the rest of the team can successfully stall the game long enough for their two conflicting cores to align their timings.
