Stacking Slardar's Corrosive Haze with Alchemist's Acid Spray provides a massive armor reduction that lets Alchemist's physical attacks tear through targets. The duo also has a good lockdown chain. Slardar's Slithereen Crush can set up a guaranteed Unstable Concoction, holding an enemy in place long enough for Alchemist to close the distance and start hitting. This combination of heavy minus armor and reliable stuns turns two heroes who can sometimes feel a bit one-dimensional into a very effective ganking pair. Alchemist often struggles to stick on targets, and Slardar provides exactly what he needs to solve that problem.

The game plan is direct. Slardar plays aggressively, looking for pickoffs with Haze, while Alchemist focuses on accelerating his farm. Once Alchemist comes online with his core items, the pair can hunt together and take objectives. A target marked by Corrosive Haze is a clear signal for the whole team to focus fire, and Alchemist is the primary beneficiary. The enemy team has to play carefully and avoid getting caught out, as a single stun from Slardar can easily lead to a dead hero.
