Alchemist + Sven

Why this works

Facing this duo feels like a race against the clock. The whole strategy revolves around Alchemist farming an Aghanim's Scepter for Sven, turning his Storm Hammer into a long-range initiation spell. On paper, it's a powerful combination. The problem is that both heroes are greedy melee cores who want to occupy the same safe parts of the map to farm. Alchemist needs to build Greevil's Greed stacks, and Sven needs to clear waves and jungle camps with Great Cleave. This creates immense pressure on the rest of their team to make space for two very demanding carries, often leaving the team vulnerable.

The game plan is to survive long enough for the combo to come online. An enemy team will typically try to group up and force objectives early, punishing the greed and starving both Alchemist and Sven of the map control they need. If they can't close the game out, however, a Sven with a gifted Scepter becomes a huge problem. He can initiate from incredible distances, setting up an easy kill with Alchemist following up. It's a high-risk strategy that puts the entire game on a timer, and the outcome often depends on how well that early aggression is handled.
