Axe + Nature's Prophet

Why this works

Picking both these heroes often creates a team that wants to play in two opposite directions. Axe's goal is to find a group of enemies and lock them all down with Berserker's Call, creating a perfect target for follow-up area damage. Nature's Prophet, however, excels at isolating a single hero with Sprout and applying pressure across the map with Teleportation. This core conflict means Nature's Prophet is rarely positioned to add damage to Axe's initiation. Worse, a misplaced Sprout can block teammates from attacking the heroes Axe has caught, completely wasting the setup.

This tension plays out all through the mid-game. Axe will look for a crucial Blink Dagger timing to start forcing fights, but Nature's Prophet is usually strongest when he's on the other side of the map, pushing down a tower and forcing rotations. The enemy team can exploit this by either ganging up on Axe's group in a favorable fight or by sending one hero to deal with the split-push, leaving them with an advantage elsewhere. Your team is forced to choose between fighting together or splitting the map, and this lineup isn't built to do either one optimally.
