Why this works

Axe's Berserker's Call provides Lina a straightforward opportunity to land her delayed Light Strike Array. This classic lockdown combo allows Lina to follow up with her full spell sequence on a stationary target. It's a simple, effective ganking plan that can remove a single enemy from a fight very quickly. However, the plan is entirely dependent on Axe's ability to successfully initiate. If Axe gets disabled before he can Call, or if Lina is out of position or lacks the mana for her spells, the whole attempt falls apart, leaving them vulnerable.

This duo tries to create pickoffs around the map, forcing enemies to play separated and with caution. A successful blink-Call from Axe into Lina's full burst can secure objectives or swing a mid-game fight. The counter-play is equally clear. Enemies will build items to survive the initial burst, such as a Glimmer Cape, or items like a Force Staff to reposition the called target's allies. Once Black King Bars are online, the magical burst from Lina becomes much less reliable, and the effectiveness of the combination drops off significantly, leveling out their overall impact on the game.
