Why this works

Pairing Axe and Marci together presents a choice between single-target burst and broader teamfight control. The dream scenario is Axe landing a Berserker's Call, creating a stationary target for Marci to obliterate with Unleash. Rebound can also serve as a gap-closer to get Axe into position for that key initiation. The main point of friction is Marci's Dispose. A poorly timed toss can throw an enemy hero out of Axe's Call or away from his Counter Helix spins, completely negating his lockdown and damage. This requires a level of coordination that can be difficult to achieve.

During the laning stage and early rotations, this duo can find kills by isolating a target. In later, more chaotic teamfights, their shared desire to be in the middle of the fight can become a problem. Opponents will try to split them, kite them, and punish their all-melee approach. The entire fight often depends on Axe getting a clean initiation before Marci commits. If their spell order is wrong or they focus different targets, their effectiveness drops sharply, making the combination feel very situational rather than consistently powerful.
