Axe + Mirana

Why this works

Holding an enemy in place for Mirana's Sacred Arrow is the whole game, and Axe provides the best setup there is. His Berserker's Call is a guaranteed, multi-second lockdown that makes a max-duration stun trivial to land. Later on, Moonlight Shadow lets Axe walk right past enemy vision and find the perfect multi-hero Call. The combined burst from Starstorm and Counter Helix often deletes a support before the taunt even wears off, creating an instant numbers advantage for any fight.

This constant kill threat allows the duo to dictate the pace of the game, forcing the enemy team to play defensively. With the other side afraid to venture out, your team secures map control, safer farm, and easier objectives. The opponents have to invest heavily in catch and vision, and must stay grouped far earlier than they want. Even then, a well-timed ultimate from Mirana can let Axe bypass wards and start a fight on his terms.
