Axe + Pangolier

Why this works

Locking down the enemy team can be a challenge with this pair. Axe wants to group enemies with Berserker's Call, holding them in place to maximize his Counter Helix spins. Pangolier, however, often uses Rolling Thunder to knock enemies around and cause chaos. A poorly timed Roll can easily push enemies out of Axe's taunt, effectively wasting the cooldown and letting the enemy team escape. This fundamental conflict between holding enemies still and scattering them requires careful coordination to overcome.

The success of this duo comes down to sequencing their spells. A good play might involve Pangolier using his roll to split the fight and isolate a key hero for Axe to jump on. Alternatively, Axe can initiate and Pangolier can wait for the taunt to finish before rolling through to clean up. In disorganized fights, it's common for both ultimates to be used at once, completely negating each other's impact. Because the outcome depends so much on player execution from moment to moment, the combination doesn't consistently lead to a strong advantage.
