Axe + Wraith King

Why this works

Forcing a teamfight with Berserker's Call gives Wraith King the perfect setup. Axe locks down multiple heroes in a tight clump, letting Wraith King and his skeletons land free attacks on priority targets without needing to chase. This creates an overwhelming amount of front-line pressure. The enemy team is forced into a terrible choice: either focus the Axe calling them and ignore the carry hitting them, or try to burst the Wraith King and get disabled by Axe. Both heroes are incredibly durable, so chewing through their health pools is a slow process, made even slower when Reincarnation resets the fight.

This duo creates a powerful mid-game timing window. Once Axe gets his Blink Dagger, he can initiate fights that Wraith King is guaranteed to clean up. They can pressure towers relentlessly, as the enemy team can’t afford to take a head-on fight against them. The main strategy to beat this pair is to split the map and avoid their five-man deathball, or to have enough disengage to kite them endlessly. If the game turns into a brawl, the fight is almost always on their terms.
