Axe + Vengeful Spirit

Why this works

Catching a target with Berserker's Call is the setup, but Vengeful Spirit makes sure it's a guaranteed kill. As soon as Axe lands his taunt, Wave of Terror follows, stripping the victim's armor and making every follow-up attack from the team devastating. This lets Axe's Counter Helix spins and physical attacks melt the target incredibly quickly. Meanwhile, Vengeful Spirit can use Magic Missile to stun a different enemy trying to save their ally, effectively taking two heroes out of the fight at once.

Once Axe has a Blink Dagger, this pair creates constant pickoff pressure. Axe can make very deep, aggressive initiations knowing that Vengeful Spirit can use Nether Swap to pull him back to safety, turning a potential one-for-one trade into a clean kill. The opposite is also true: Venge can swap a key enemy hero directly to Axe for an inescapable Call. This forces opponents to play separated and reactively, always fearing the initiation that could come from any angle. Their main response is to try and burst Venge first, but that often means ignoring a rampaging Axe.
