Batrider + Earthshaker

Why this works

Picking these two heroes together creates a tension in your game plan. The core issue is that they both want to start fights, but in opposite ways. Batrider's entire goal with Flaming Lasso is to find one isolated hero and drag them away from their team. Earthshaker, on the other hand, is always looking for the moment when the enemy team clumps up so he can land a massive Echo Slam. It's possible to use Fissure to trap a target for Batrider, but it's often awkward and can even block the drag path by mistake. Their ideal scenarios for a teamfight are rarely the same.

This conflict plays out all game. In the laning phase, a well-placed Fissure can set up a kill for Batrider, but this coordination becomes harder as teams group up. Later on, you'll see situations where Batrider has a perfect Lasso opportunity on a support, but it pulls them away from the core group that Earthshaker was hoping to jump on. This forces a choice: does Earthshaker use his spells on a single dragged target, or does he hold them for a bigger opportunity that might not come? This lack of a clear, shared initiation plan makes their teamfights less decisive.
