Batrider + Shadow Fiend

Why this works

Setting up the perfect Requiem of Souls off a Flaming Lasso pull is much harder than it looks on paper. Shadow Fiend needs to position himself exactly where Batrider will drop the target and channel his ultimate in advance, making the whole play easy to disrupt with a single stun or shove. Compared to other heroes who can provide instant burst on a Lassoed target, SF's contribution is slow and unreliable. Both heroes also want to hit a key item timing to take over the map, but often end up competing for the same safe farm to get there, slowing down the team's tempo.

This lack of reliable synergy means the two heroes often feel like they're playing separate games. Batrider will find a good initiation, but Shadow Fiend won't be in position to follow up with his full damage combo. Conversely, a fight might break out in a way that’s good for SF’s area damage, but Batrider’s single-target control won't be what's needed. The plan is fragile; if the initial Lasso play fails, the team lacks a solid backup plan and can get overwhelmed by lineups with better saves or more consistent control.
