Bloodseeker + Shadow Fiend

Why this works

Pairing two heroes who both want to be the center of attention can create problems. Bloodseeker and Shadow Fiend are both glass cannons who need a lot of farm to function as the primary damage threat. While a well-placed Rupture can certainly help Shadow Fiend land a full set of Shadowrazes on a single target, the pair brings almost no reliable lockdown to the table. This puts a huge strain on the rest of your team to provide all the stuns and control, otherwise enemies can often teleport away or simply turn and fight you.

This weakness becomes clear in mid-game teamfights. Without a dedicated initiator or a durable frontline, it's hard for Shadow Fiend to get a safe Requiem of Souls off, and Bloodseeker can get blown up if he tries to run in first. The lineup is fragile and depends on winning the laning stage hard. If you fall behind, neither hero offers the tools to create space for the other to catch up. They both excel at punishing enemy mistakes but struggle to force the issue themselves, making for a very feast-or-famine strategy.
