Why this works

Running from a fight with low health feels particularly dangerous against this pair. Pudge’s constant damage from Rot is often enough to bring an enemy hero into the threshold for Bloodseeker’s Thirst passive to activate. This provides global vision of the wounded target, setting Pudge up for long-range Meat Hooks that would otherwise be blind guesses. A successful hook then pulls the victim right into Bloodseeker’s preferred fighting range, making it simple for him to secure the kill against a hero who is already damaged and displaced.

This duo thrives on creating pickoffs around the map, forcing the enemy team to group up earlier than they might want. The key for the opposing side is to have ways to survive the initial catch, either through defensive supports or heroes with instant escape abilities. For Bloodseeker and Pudge, the goal is to chain their spells effectively. Using Rupture on a target after they are caught by Hook or Dismember leaves them with no good options, as they either stand still to be killed or move and take massive damage.
