Why this works

Seeing these two heroes together might suggest an easy ganking setup, but Bounty Hunter's slow and burst aren't typically enough lockdown to guarantee an Earthshaker combo. The real, albeit slight, benefit is more subtle. Track provides vision on a key target, which can allow Earthshaker to anticipate movement and find a better angle for Fissure or Echo Slam from the fog. The bonus gold from successful Track kills can also help accelerate Earthshaker toward his crucial Blink Dagger, which is a benefit for the entire team, not just their lane.

In practice, the success of this pairing often comes down to the Earthshaker's own positioning and game sense. Bounty Hunter points out the target, but it's up to Earthshaker to land the spells without more dedicated setup. As the game goes on, their roles diverge. Bounty Hunter scouts the edges of a fight looking to pick off a support with Jinada, while Earthshaker wants to be right in the middle of the enemy team.
