Bristleback + Dragon Knight

Why this works

Fighting for the same farm on the map often slows down the game plan for this pair. Both Bristleback and Dragon Knight are durable frontliners who want to be the team's anchor, but they don't directly enable each other. Dragon Knight offers a single-target stun with Dragon Tail, which can be useful, but he doesn't provide the sustained control or catch that Bristleback needs to get multiple Quill Spray and Viscous Nasal Goo stacks on priority targets. They end up filling a similar role without strong synergy, creating a lineup that can feel slow and lacks the tools to lock down mobile enemies.

The game often becomes a race to group up and force objectives. Both Bristleback and Dragon Knight are excellent at hitting buildings once they get there, especially with Dragon Knight in his ultimate form. The challenge is creating the space and momentum to do so. If the enemy team has good disengage or can split the map effectively, this duo can struggle to get rolling. Their combined damage output can be too slow to win decisive teamfights before their own supports get picked off. Success is highly dependent on the other three heroes filling in the crucial gaps of catch and burst damage.
