Bristleback + Earthshaker

Why this works

Locking an enemy down with Fissure gives Bristleback a perfect window to run at them and build up Viscous Nasal Goo and Quill Spray stacks. The block from Fissure can also force opponents to turn and run back through Bristleback, exposing their back and letting him take over a fight. In return, Bristleback's tendency to dive deep and draw attention can create the ideal situation for Earthshaker to find a multi-hero Echo Slam. The core idea is that Earthshaker provides the control that Bristleback completely lacks, allowing him to stick to targets.

This partnership often depends on who has the better start. Earthshaker needs a Blink Dagger to be effective, and if he falls behind, he can't create the opportunities Bristleback needs. There's also a slight tension in their desired fight length. Earthshaker delivers his impact in a short burst of stuns and damage, whereas Bristleback gets stronger the longer a fight drags on. If the enemy team can survive the initial lockdown, they can often disengage and reset, leaving both heroes feeling a bit awkward and out of position.
