Bristleback + Pangolier

Why this works

Both heroes often want the same farm and map space to hit their timings. This creates a potential conflict where one of them falls behind, slowing down the team's overall tempo. Mechanically, Bristleback and Pangolier are both durable frontliners who like to cause chaos, but they don't set each other up effectively. Pangolier can disrupt a fight with Rolling Thunder, but Bristleback lacks a reliable lockdown to capitalize on the stun, offering only slows from a distance. They can end up creating two separate pockets of disruption rather than one focused attack.

The result is that teamfights can feel disjointed. Pangolier might use his combo on a target, but Bristleback may not be in position to build up enough Quill Spray stacks before the enemy disengages. Likewise, when Bristleback is soaking up damage and drawing attention, Pangolier’s contribution might not be enough to secure a kill on a key backliner. This pairing's success often hinges on which hero gets a better start and can create space for the other; otherwise they can struggle to find a cohesive rhythm.
