Bristleback + Ringmaster

Why this works

Pairing these two heroes can create conflicting goals during a teamfight. Bristleback thrives by controlling an engagement's tempo, forcing enemies to chase him so he can stack Quill Sprays while taking reduced damage to his back. Ringmaster, on the other hand, wants to lock opponents in place with his traps or pull them with his hypnotic device. This control can work against Bristleback’s plan, as pulling an enemy directly onto him denies the space needed to kite effectively. Instead of a fluid chase, the fight becomes a static brawl where Bristleback is often more vulnerable.

For the combination to feel smooth, Ringmaster has to use his control to enable the chase, not prevent it. This means trapping escape routes or pulling a secondary target, rather than pinning down Bristleback’s main focus. More often, their kits feel a bit disconnected. A Ringmaster can certainly set up kills or save his core, but he doesn't naturally amplify what Bristleback wants to do. The result is a partnership that functions but rarely finds the clean synergy seen with other supports who better enable a frontliner's kiting pattern.
