Why this works
Setting up a teamfight with this pair often feels clumsy. Elder Titan's goal is to land a big Echo Stomp, creating the perfect setup for his Earth Splitter on sleeping targets. The issue is that Broodmother's constant swarm of spiderlings will be attacking anything nearby, and they will instantly wake up any hero Elder Titan manages to stun. This completely negates the setup and makes it far harder to land his ultimate for full effect. While the armor reduction from Elder Titan's Natural Order does boost the spiders' physical damage, it's a minor gain in exchange for crippling his core teamfight combo. They simply play different games.
