Broodmother + Hoodwink

Why this works

Pairing these two seems good on paper since both heroes can dominate wooded parts of the map. A well-placed Bushwhack from Hoodwink will trap an enemy, letting Broodmother’s spiders swarm them for a clean kill. The issue is that their strengths can be redundant. Broodmother wants to infest an area with webs to farm and push, while Hoodwink wants to use those same tree lines for safety and setting up her spells. This can lead to them competing for resources without covering each other's core weaknesses, especially since webs don't provide trees for Hoodwink's stun.

Early ganks with this setup can work well, giving Broodmother a strong start to snowball from. Later in the game, however, their plans can diverge. When Broodmother is split-pushing a lane, Hoodwink might not be in the right position to help if the enemy collapses. Both heroes rely on specific terrain to be effective, and they can feel disjointed if the enemy forces fights in the open or pressures the parts of the map they aren't controlling. The success of the pairing often depends more on the enemy's mistakes than their own coordination.
