Broodmother + Silencer

Why this works

Pushing deep into enemy territory with Broodmother becomes a bit safer with a Silencer on the team. When the enemy tries to collapse and punish Broodmother's aggression, a well-timed Global Silence can cover her retreat or even allow her to turn the gank around. This creates a window for her to secure dangerous farm and pressure objectives that she might otherwise have to avoid. In smaller fights over her webs, Silencer’s Arcane Curse can also punish the spell-heavy heroes that are typically brought in to clear out all the spiders, making it costly for them to use their abilities.

The game plan revolves around this threat. Broodmother splits the map, forcing rotations, while Silencer farms or supports elsewhere, holding the ultimate as a deterrent. This entire strategy, however, hinges on Global Silence being available. Smart opponents will track its cooldown and organize ganks on Broodmother during the downtime. The pairing also offers little against heroes who can clear spiderlings with strong physical attacks or cleaves, as they don't rely on the spells that Silencer is meant to punish. This leaves the duo with a clear but predictable strategy that can be played around.
