Broodmother + Venomancer

Why this works

Drafting these two heroes together creates an awkward overlap in strategy. Both Broodmother and Venomancer want to achieve the same goal: take over a section of the map with minions and make it dangerous for the enemy to enter. However, their kits don't really complement each other. Broodmother needs lockdown or burst damage to help her spider army secure kills, but Venomancer only brings slows and damage over time. Likewise, Broodmother's high physical damage doesn't amplify Venomancer's magical poison effects. They end up as two solo artists playing on the same stage.

This can lead to them competing for farm and space, as both want to control the enemy jungle. Early pressure is high, but the lack of a real stun means enemies with escape abilities often get away. A coordinated opponent can often deal with the Plague Ward push from Venomancer and the spider push from Broodmother as separate problems rather than one combined threat. While the slows from Gale and Poison Sting are helpful for chasing, the lineup as a whole often struggles to find the hard lockdown needed to close out kills against key targets.
