Why this works

Getting caught by Centaur Warrunner’s Hoof Stomp provides a clean setup for Nyx Assassin to land his Impale. This lockdown chain is often long enough to isolate a target for a kill, especially with the added burst from a Vendetta strike. The threat is amplified globally by Stampede, which can bring a hidden Nyx along for a gank almost anywhere on the map. Nyx’s Mana Burn also helps wear down targets that might otherwise have a defensive spell to survive Centaur’s initial aggression.

This duo's strength is centered on mid-game pickoffs, punishing anyone caught out of position. Their plan can be disrupted by early five-man grouping and good defensive vision, which makes finding a vulnerable target for Nyx Assassin much harder. As the game goes late, Centaur Warrunner wants to charge into the middle of the enemy team, while Nyx prefers to stick to the edges of the fight. This slight divergence in late-game purpose means their synergy is strongest during the roaming phase and can fade if they don't build a lead.
