Centaur Warrunner + Phoenix

Why this works

Pairing Centaur Warrunner with a Phoenix is a gamble on one big, telegraphed teamfight combination. The obvious plan is to have Centaur use Stampede to bring his allies charging in to protect Phoenix’s Supernova. Hoof Stomp can also provide a crucial stun on anyone trying to attack the egg. The problem is that this strategy forces your entire team to clump together in a very small, predictable area. If the enemy team has any significant area-of-effect damage or control, they can often wipe your whole team while you're all grouped up trying to save one hero.

This makes the success of the duo feel very conditional. Against certain drafts, this combination can secure a fight by guaranteeing the Supernova rebirth and stun. Against others, using Stampede to "help" the egg is a game-losing mistake that gives the enemy a perfect setup for their own ultimate spells. Since the heroes don't have much other direct interaction, the game's outcome often hinges on whether the enemy can punish this one specific, all-in play, making the pairing feel inconsistent.
