Centaur Warrunner + Viper

Why this works

Using Stampede to bring a slow hero like Viper into the fight can be effective, but their kits have conflicting goals. Centaur Warrunner wants to find a target, blink in, and use Hoof Stomp for a quick burst of lockdown and damage. Viper, on the other hand, excels in longer engagements where he can apply his corrosive slows and melt enemies down inside a Nethertoxin field. Stampede gets him into the brawl, but he doesn't bring the immediate burst damage that typically follows a Centaur initiation, creating a slight tempo mismatch.

This pairing often feels like two heroes fighting near each other rather than with each other. The success of a gank or teamfight can depend on whether the team follows Centaur's explosive charge or commits to Viper's patient, grinding style. Neither hero directly enables the other in a significant way beyond what they'd offer any other ally. Without a strong, overlapping game plan, they don't consistently amplify each other's strengths, leading to fights that can feel disjointed and outcomes that are often unpredictable.
