This lockdown gives Necrophos a stationary target to apply Heartstopper Aura and land a clean Reaper's Scythe. The combination is brutal; CK's physical burst from his illusions quickly drops a hero into the health range where Necrophos can secure the kill. It's a simple and effective combo, especially for heroes without an immediate escape.

The game plan is to hunt together once Reaper's Scythe is available. They can pick off almost any hero on the map, turning successful ganks into towers or Roshan control. Because Chaos Knight provides the hard lockdown and Necrophos brings the magical finisher, enemy teams are forced to itemize for two different damage types. The best counterplay is to try and separate them in fights or use save items like a Force Staff on the initial Reality Rift target. If opponents can't create that space, Necrophos will secure kills that extend death timers and break the game open.
