Why this works
Trying to coordinate a gank often feels clumsy. Disruptor wants to land a clean Glimpse into Kinetic Field, but Chen’s summoned army can easily clutter the fight and make it difficult to trap the right target. Their big teamfight spells, Hand of God and Static Storm, don't really amplify each other either. Both supports are fragile and lack hard stuns, making it easy for enemies to turn on them if the initial catch fails.
