In Dota 2 7.41f, Chen and Pugna win 42.63% of ranked matches when playing on the same team, over 1,004 matches.
Why this works
Thinking of this pair as a simple healing combo misses their main purpose. The real strength is overwhelming tower pressure. Chen brings an army of creeps, and Pugna brings Nether Blast; together they can melt objectives before the enemy team has time to organize a defense. In fights, Pugna can Decrepify a target to set them up for his own Life Drain, while Chen’s Penitence amps the damage further.
