Crystal Maiden + Jakiro

Why this works

Stacking up slows and damage-over-time spells in a lane seems like a good idea, but this pairing has a core problem. Both Crystal Maiden and Jakiro are slow, squishy supports who need items to survive and good positioning to cast their spells. They offer similar kinds of area control but don't enable each other effectively. Neither provides the hard, instant initiation the other wants for setting up a big ultimate like Freezing Field or Macropyre. Instead of covering for weaknesses, they amplify them, creating a backline that is very vulnerable.

The lane can feel strong at first, but it's fragile. Since both heroes lack escapes, a well-coordinated gank can easily shut them down and put them behind. As the game progresses, the draft's lack of a mobile, playmaking support becomes more apparent. Your team is left with two supports who both need protection and a safe place to stand in teamfights. Against enemies who can close the distance quickly, it's very difficult for either Crystal Maiden or Jakiro to contribute effectively without getting caught out of position.
