Crystal Maiden + Riki

Why this works

Thinking you can separate this pair is where most teams go wrong. Crystal Maiden's Frostbite gives Riki the perfect, instant setup he needs to secure a kill. He can afford to be aggressive and use all his spells to chase because Arcane Aura is constantly refueling his mana, no matter where he is on the map. This means Riki gets to stay active, looking for opportunities, instead of being forced back to base for regeneration. It creates a constant threat that’s difficult for enemies to track and prepare for.

As the game develops, their teamfight potential becomes a huge problem. Riki’s Smoke Screen is ideal for protecting a Crystal Maiden channel, silencing enemies who try to interrupt her Freezing Field. Trapped inside the smoke and slowed by the ultimate, enemies are forced to choose between taking massive damage from the Maiden or getting cut down by Riki. To win, opponents have to split their focus perfectly, either finding and killing the Maiden before the fight begins or having enough detection to deal with Riki before he can cause chaos.
