Crystal Maiden + Slark

Why this works

Believing you can escape Slark with a single stun or slow is a common mistake. Adding Crystal Maiden to the equation makes that a nightmare. Her Frostbite provides the perfect, instant setup Slark needs to land Pounce and begin building his stacks. The target is rooted, then leashed, leaving them with almost no window to escape or retaliate. Even a simple Crystal Nova slow is often enough for Slark to close the distance and get the jump on an enemy, turning a slight misstep into a guaranteed kill for his team.

This early lane pressure often snowballs hard. A well-farmed Slark becomes incredibly difficult to manage, and Crystal Maiden's global mana regeneration lets him stay active on the map without needing to return to base. Enemies are forced to group up much earlier than they'd like, because anyone caught alone is a free kill for this pair. Their only real option is to try and burst Crystal Maiden before she can cast her spells, or bring enough chain-stuns to hold Slark down through his own dispels.
