Crystal Maiden + Viper

Why this works

Picking these two heroes together is less about a wombo combo and more about grinding the lane down. Crystal Maiden's Arcane Aura gives Viper a basically infinite mana pool to spam Poison Attack, creating constant pressure. The real synergy comes from stacking their control. A Frostbite from Crystal Maiden is a guaranteed setup for Viper to position a Nethertoxin under the target, which in turn makes all her magic damage hit harder. Combining Crystal Nova with Viper's own slows makes it nearly impossible for a single enemy to escape if they get caught out.

The main issue is that both Crystal Maiden and Viper are slow heroes without escape tools. This shared weakness makes them very vulnerable to coordinated ganks and aggressive, mobile lineups that can get on top of them. While they excel at locking down and killing one hero at a time, they can be overwhelmed before they have a chance to establish that control. The success of this duo often depends on whether they can dictate the pace of the early fights before the enemy team identifies and punishes their lack of mobility.
