Dark Seer + Lion

Why this works

Playing for the mid-game can feel a bit slow with this pairing, as both heroes need a fair amount of resources to come online. Dark Seer needs levels and often a Blink Dagger to land a good Vacuum, and Lion is one of the more level-dependent supports who also desperately wants his own Blink. This can create a passive early game where the team might have to give up map control while waiting for these two to hit their timings. The core combo of Vacuum into Earth Spike is powerful, but it’s a very specific setup that a coordinated enemy team can learn to play around.

The game often comes down to whether Dark Seer and Lion can execute their combo during a key mid-game window. If they successfully find a multi-hero Vacuum, Lion's follow-up control can win a fight and secure an objective. The problem is that if they fall behind, their plan gets much harder to execute. A farmed enemy core might survive the initial burst, and a committed Lion is an easy target to turn on and kill. This makes the duo feel conditional; they need a smooth start to enable their otherwise strong teamfight plan.
