Dark Willow + Lina

Why this works

Trying to chain control with this pair often feels clumsy. Both Dark Willow and Lina rely on stuns with a noticeable delay; Cursed Crown takes time to pop, and Light Strike Array takes time to land. This gives an opponent a window to simply walk out of the follow-up spell, use a defensive item, or even turn the fight. Without a source of instant lockdown to bridge the gap between their abilities, they struggle to guarantee that their combined damage will connect. This lack of a reliable setup means fewer confirmed kills, even when they catch someone out.

The weak gank potential slows the whole team's tempo. A roaming Dark Willow and a ganking Lina should be creating space, but their inability to reliably lock a target down means many attempts end with the enemy walking away. In larger teamfights, the problem continues. They can put out a lot of magic damage, but key targets with mobility or Black King Bars are difficult to pin down and burst. This forces the Lina and Willow's team into a more reactive posture, waiting for the enemy to make a mistake instead of being able to initiate on their own terms.
