Dark Willow + Slark

Why this works

Setting up a kill with this duo can be surprisingly awkward. Dark Willow's main stun, Cursed Crown, has a delay before it triggers. This often clashes with Slark's desire to immediately Pounce and start attacking. A target can often be killed or move out of the stun's area before it even lands. Her Bramble Maze is only a root, so the trapped enemy can still turn and fight Slark. Even Terrorize, which seems good for isolating a hero, can accidentally push Slark's chosen target to safety, ruining the gank instead of enabling it.

This lack of reliable, instant lockdown from Dark Willow means Slark is often on his own. The pair relies heavily on perfect timing that is difficult to coordinate in a real game. When it works, the target is held down and dies quickly. When it doesn't, Slark might overextend expecting a stun that never connects, or Willow might use her spells on a hero that Slark can't reach. This inconsistency prevents them from building a reliable game plan together, leading to very mixed results from one fight to the next.
