Dark Willow + Tidehunter

Why this works

Fighting with both ultimates available can be awkward. Tidehunter's Ravage and Dark Willow's Terrorize are both massive teamfight spells, but they don't stack well. Using Terrorize on enemies who are already stunned by Ravage is a waste, and a feared enemy might run away from where your team wants to focus damage. This overlap means one hero is often forced to hold their biggest spell, or they both get used and one's impact is lost. While a Cursed Crown can set up a Ravage, a good Tidehunter is usually looking for their own Blink initiation anyway.

This dynamic often leads to less decisive teamfight victories than you'd expect. Because their signature abilities can conflict, they don't have a simple one-two punch to rely on. The coordination required to use both spells effectively without wasting one is high, and mistakes can leave you without either ultimate for the next major objective. Dark Willow and Tidehunter both bring strong teamfight to the table individually, but they don't combine their strengths in a way that creates an advantage, leaving the game's outcome feeling much more up in the air.
