Dawnbreaker + Templar Assassin

Why this works

Picking these two heroes can feel like trying to run two different game plans at once. Templar Assassin's strength is bursting a single target from surprise with Meld. She wants to initiate on her own terms and delete someone before they can react. Dawnbreaker’s main way to assist a gank across the map is Solar Guardian, which is a highly visible, telegraphed area effect. The long warning before the stun lands gives the target ample time to use a defensive ability, walk away, or even prepare a counter-attack, which often disrupts Templar Assassin's need for a clean, instant kill.

As a result, their mid-game timings rarely align perfectly. While Templar Assassin is looking for quiet pick-offs after getting her core items, Dawnbreaker is better suited for turning larger skirmishes. Using Solar Guardian to help a TA gank can backfire by simply alerting the prey. This forces the pair to wait for bigger, five-on-five teamfights where Dawnbreaker’s abilities are more impactful, but this cedes control of the map and slows down the snowballing pace that Templar Assassin typically needs to secure a victory.
