Why this works

Picking these two heroes together gives your draft a straightforward teamfight plan. Dawnbreaker can use Solar Guardian to land anywhere on the map, providing the initial stun and setup for Warlock to follow up with Chaotic Offering. The combination offers a long stun duration if it connects, allowing the rest of your team to collapse on the target. Fatal Bonds also helps by spreading all of Dawnbreaker's area damage from her abilities and her ultimate's landing pulse across multiple heroes, which can soften up a whole team if they are grouped up for the initial impact.

The success of this pairing hinges on good coordination and timing. Enemies can see the Solar Guardian landing zone and have a moment to react by spreading out or using defensive items. This forces the Warlock player to position carefully to ensure Chaotic Offering lands before the enemy team can recover or turn on Dawnbreaker. If the enemy is prepared, they can often mitigate the worst of the impact.
