Dazzle + Lina

Why this works

Pairing Dazzle with Lina seems like an obvious way to protect a glass cannon, but the reality is more complicated. The idea is that Shallow Grave lets Lina stand her ground and unload all her spells without being instantly focused down. This works, but it only solves one of Lina’s problems. She has no natural escape, so after the Grave ends, she’s often still in a terrible position and easy to kill. Dazzle’s slow heal and minor slows don’t provide the hard lockdown or repositioning needed to guarantee her safety after she’s committed, making the combo feel incomplete.

In laning and early skirmishes, this duo can sometimes secure a kill that would otherwise be a trade. As the game progresses, however, opponents learn to play around it. They can either ignore the graved Lina and kill Dazzle, or they can use stuns to hold her in place until the effect wears off. Dazzle’s kit encourages longer teamfights where his cooldowns can cycle, while Lina excels at deleting a key target and resetting. This clash in tempo often leaves them feeling out of sync, where one hero is forced to play against their own strengths.
