Dazzle + Muerta

Why this works

Facing a Shallow Grave on a core is always a pain, since it gives them extra seconds to do their damage. Dazzle can definitely extend Muerta's life with a well-timed Grave, letting her fire off more shots when she gets focused. The problem comes from their ultimates. When Muerta activates Pierce the Veil, her attack damage becomes magical. This means that any armor reduction Dazzle provides is completely ignored during her most important damage window. While the defensive aspect of the pairing is fine, their offensive abilities fail to amplify each other when it matters most.

Early laning can feel decent, with Dazzle providing sustain and slows to help Muerta secure farm. As the game transitions into mid-game teamfights, however, this lack of offensive connection becomes more apparent. Muerta wants to pop her ultimate and burst down a target, but Dazzle's kit doesn't help her do that any more than it would help a magic-based caster. The duo relies entirely on the general strength of Shallow Grave to create an advantage, which isn't always enough against coordinated teams that can play around its cooldown.
