Dazzle + Tidehunter

Why this works

Trying to focus down the Tidehunter before he can use Ravage is a core objective for most teams. Dazzle makes that plan a nightmare. Committing multiple heroes and spells to burst the initiator, only for him to survive on a sliver of health thanks to Shallow Grave, is often a fight-losing mistake. Tidehunter gets his Ravage off anyway, and the enemy team is left with their key abilities on cooldown. The armor reduction from Gush also stacks with Dazzle’s own, making the primary target exceptionally fragile to follow-up damage.

This pairing creates a very clear and powerful game plan. Tidehunter serves as the unkillable frontline, wading into the fight to create chaos while Dazzle provides sustain from the back. Opponents are put in a bind: attempting to dive past Tidehunter to get to the Dazzle is risky and exposes their own backline, but focusing the hero who can't die is pointless. The most effective counter-play involves splitting them up or landing a long-duration silence on Dazzle before he can cast his save, but executing that against a huge Ravage threat is easier said than done.
