Dazzle + Venomancer

Why this works

Applying Dazzle's Bad Juju armor reduction does very little to amplify Venomancer, whose damage is almost entirely magical. The core of Dazzle's kit is also built around reacting to sudden, heavy damage with Shallow Grave and burst healing. Venomancer’s contribution is the exact opposite: a slow, grinding poison that drains health bars gradually. This makes it awkward to get maximum value from Dazzle’s saves, as there isn't a clear moment of impact to react to. The fundamental timing and damage types of their abilities just don't line up well.

This disconnect plays out across the game. A lane with both Dazzle and Venomancer can bully opponents with slows and sustain, but often lacks the lockdown or burst to secure kills. In mid-game teamfights, Venomancer can apply Poison Nova and leave multiple enemies near death, but Dazzle doesn’t offer the tools to help finish them off as they retreat. He can keep his allies alive, but he isn't enabling Venomancer's primary goal of winning through a war of attrition. Each hero can feel like they're executing their own plan without helping the other.
